Emblem Knights

This project that I have been working on went by Emblem Knights. A game prototype that was supposed to be my first take on the Tactical Role-Playing Game genre inspired by games like Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Dark Deity 2. This would encompass a grid-based movement system and basic combat involving selecting your units and choosing where they move or who they attack. As well as having simple UI elements to show your unit’s health total and the enemy unit’s health total. Overall, I had a month to get the project together with the first week spent researching and planning; the second week was spent on the first rapid prototype to get the movement, camera controls, and the core action in place. The third week was spent refining the rapid prototype, including the feedback from the previous week and adding a new feature to the game to essentially create the game play loop. With the fourth and final week to further refine and take into account new feedback from more play testers. My main feature was supposed to be an enemy unit and the ability to attack it.
